We can make it beautiful
“The world has gone to hell,” I hear.
The powers that be are sociopaths- driven by greed and fuelled by power.
What, I wonder, can we do?
We can make it beautiful.
We can. We got this.
We can leave a toonie in the palm of the man with no home. We can give dignity.
We can say we are sorry after we’ve hurt someone.
We can send a voice message to a friend who is hurting.
We can hold signs on the street for justice and for safety.
We can be curious instead of righteous .
We can send $20 or $50 or $200 to the GoFund Me or the cause of our choice.
We can bite the harshness of our tongue and set a boundary instead.
We can feel and heal our own pain, so we don’t project it onto others.
We can smile at a stranger, compliment their hair or their clothes or their dog.
We can imagine we have much more in common than what divides us.
Pay for the coffee behind us, recycle, paint a picture, write a poem, sing a song, dance.
Love, we can love.
We can love we can love we can love.
We can make it beautiful.
We can.
We got this.
